wanting to have my coil overs adjusted to the 4th clip from the 2nd . I'm tearing the front down myself but am looking for a place w a HD coil compressor to make it happen , any suggestions ? Not wanting to use those cheapo coil compressors they loan out , more than likely can't use them due to the size of the shock and the time it would take.

I did mine on the 4th setting leaving it bolted in at the bottom and lowering the arm with a jack after you take the LCA arm knuckle joint apart. It's safer than a compressor seriously.

@2nd screen name you didn't have any issues with the truck trying to lift off the ground when you were jacking the LCA back up to recompress the spring, correct? I've read a couple of places where guys who were compressing/preloading coils had the front end trying to pick up off of the jack stands while attempting to re-compress the coil spring back into place.

I also used the method mentioned above. It worked flawlessly and was actually faster and easier than when we installed pre-assembled coilovers in his 4runner. We followed this method.

No. I initially was worried about the same thing. My remedy would have been sand bags on the hood or in the engine bay if it started to lift
