P.S.- thanks for all the info I have ever learned on this site from everybody. I have never posted until now, but its so cool to have a place to learn all this stuffc908cd66-e173-468b-98c0-d68076255543_zps_b84634b7a20bbee4992ea71f5fe43b7e0f83453d.jpg

I ended up doing between 4-6 coats. I noticed that on some of them I had missed a few spots due to the angle of my spraying, so I would do another coat until I was sure I covered all my angles. I wouldn't do less than 4 though. You have to have a thick enough layer to peel off, otherwise you would be peeling it off in tiny pieces which is no fun. Make your first coat pretty thin cuz you want a good base for your thicker layers to bond to. I was surprised at the ease of this project. This stuff is addicting! Good luck, let me know how it turns out for you.

Trying to decide what will look better on my stock 16" aluminum wheels. Copper metalizer over stock color, copper metalizer over black or copper metalizer over camo brown. Also considering anthracite true metallic on stock wheels or over black. What would look better with silver streak mica?

I have silver sky metallic (which I think is very similar) and have done things with black. I think they look great.

You should do one wheel in each option...

But seriously. Just pick what you like the best and do it. If it sucks, peel it off and go a different route. That's what make plasti dip so good. Peels right up like it was never even there.

I have seen a lot of black rims with the silver Tacomas and they look pretty sweet, although I really was curious, and if I were to do mine, I would probably start with black then go over it with the anthracite metallic. I am curious to see what that looks like. maybe even use the graphite metallic instead. Not sure, but ThunderCookies is right, if you don't like it, peel it off and try something new!

    Plasti-dipped all badges.
Left the dark gray chrome on the grill, plasti-dipped the silver chrome surrounding it.

It was the only white they had at lowes. That's the beauty of dip, peel it off if you don't like it :)

Do you like the match color wise? I am pretty picky. Only because I see subtleties ...

Is it close enough that the average bone head won't notice unless he is above average in intelligence? LOL

Also, YOU DID A OUTSTANDING JOB AND YOUR TACO IS COMING ALONG NICELY.

Thanks man! I am also extremely picky, and color match wise it's not even noticeable. The longest part is the prep work. There are a couple places I may have to touch up from when I peeled the tape off, but I say go for it. You won't regret it. If you do, just remove it lol. Good luck!
