None taken...the Fox body style was a..you either love em or hate em style. They are cheap to modify/get crazy HP/ and have an awesome power to weight ratio...my car weighs in on the track scales filled with gas at 2920 LBS. Best bang for the buck there is....:D

One of the first cars I got to drive was my uncle's Mustang 5.0. He kept it so clean that you could eat dinner off the floorboards (but he would hurt you if you did). He drove it like a grandma, and he took emaculate care of it.

I don't care for Fords, but Mustangs have a special place in my heart. Unfortunately his was a piece of _ _ _ _. He sold it in 98. I think he still regrets that.

He has an 06 Tacoma now!

I hate to say it but i have to agree about the looks. I have no doubt your car is fast as hell and fun to drive but they have got to be one of the ugliest cars ever made.

So I bring this thread alive because when I turned on my truck this evening, my dad says if I have engine oil in my engine. I say of course. He says... Don't you hear that knocking? I say yes. He says thats not good. I told him its because it was cold outside. He has me a little worried. I did hear it. I sounded a little loud. It eventually went away. I will recheck in the morning. However, do you guys think I have anything to worry about?

I haven't bored the block for the reasons stated prior (design of the block).

But I have replaced my rods and pistons (lowered the compression ratio to 9.5:1) with forged parts.

Ohh... now you done it. :D

I don't consider my self a drag racer by any means, but i do enjoy running the truck down the strip from time to time.

A stock X-Runner will run head to head with a stock Dakota R/T (high 14's to low 15's in the 1/4). The 4.0L tacoma is capable of running 15's pretty easy with the right driver, as it shares the same driveline with the XR.

Super Werty's S/C Double cab is running 13.1's in the 1/4 with a 4x4 launch. The truck is capable of hanging with the best of them for sure.
