Only the maglight mod, mounted on floor drivers side, billet antenna and have lined all storage under rear seats with rubber to keep the rattling to a minimum.
I'm going nuts trying to figure out what's causing a squeaking sound when I'm backing up. Sounds like it could be coming from the rear drums, FYI I have 96K on my 2007 and haven't done a brake shoe replacement. Could this be like a wear indicator making this sound, similar to what is on the front pads? Also of note, I will be upgrading the shocks and struts soon to 5100's and I'm curious if the creaking sound I hear when I step onto the bumper could be from the rear shocks or if it is the leaf springs. ( I have the stock leaf pack w/o the AAL TPMS fix) Thanks in advance.

My 2014 rear leafs squeak when compressed unless I grease them every 5,000 miles. Has nothing to do with the travel direction of the truck though. Parked or moving they squeak.

Check to see if your truck is included in the rear leaf pack recall, may save you some coin. If your leafs are super worn that may be a cause of the noise.

Uh, 07 is solidly a second gen.

Have you checked your U Joints? When was the last time they were greased if they are greasable? Another thing is the center support bearing, its hard to tell if it is coming from that, but is a possibility. You could be on to something with the rear brakes as well, although they may not need to be replaced, when was the last time they were cleaned and lubed? Usually wont squeal unless brakes are being applied. Leafs don't squeak unless they are being flexed, but even the smallest flex will do it. Remedy for that is power wash between each leaf, then hit them with some lube(wd40, white lithium, aero Kroil, or whatever is handy). Attempt to move u joints up and down and side to side, any movement from the cups is means for replacement, give em some lube while your there. Center support bearing is much tougher to diagnose. Just because the bushing has play in it, doesn't mean the bearing is bad. You have to disconnect the bearing from the frame( two 14mm bolts torqued to 45ft#'s) support the drive shaft, and spin the bearing by hand. If you feel any roughness in the spin, then that bearing may be bad. Of all the things that can squeak, those are the most common. Good luck with the diagnosis, and let me know if you need any help.

Never had the rear brakes off to clean them since I've owned it and I don't believe there are any zirc fittings on mine. It's a 2wd if that matters. I will definitely clean the rear brakes, clean and lube the springs as well as check my U joints. I'm about to put new shocks in the rear so I will do al that when I have it up on the Jack stands.
