Hello everyone, I am very close to purchasing my first Tacoma.. I have done my homework and am just down to choosing a colour and a date to close.

My question, if anybody knows, and I'm sure somebody here does.. is there a difference in the colour options between US models and Canadian models?

I seen pictures of the blue online and thought I was ready to go ahead with it, when I visited the dealer it didn't look the same, it looked alot darker and less vibrant.

Toyota Canada lists the colour options as follows

    Alpine White
    Silver Sky Metallic
    Magnetic Grey Metallic
    Black
    Barcelona Red Metallic
    Inferno
    Blazing Blue Metallic

Thank you in advance for your help!

    An excited future Tacoma owner!

The blue and inferno look different in pics. I will see if I can dig some up that I have with good light. Someone else may chime in before I get to upload them, but look around here, different pics make it look like a different color. The colors you listed are the same in the U.S.

    thank you thank you

I failed to see the "colour thread" with dedicated threads for each color

I'm 95% sure I am going to go with the blue. Wish the red was more RED just seems bland to me.

Test drove the inferno and it just wasnt for me.

Down to Silver, Grey and Blue with blue in the lead big time

Now I guess i'll ask for peoples opinions on the pricing i've got worked out with a dealer, after working a couple dealers against each other I've got this deal in place.

    TRD Sport Upgrade w/ 6MT
    38,250 + 5% GST.
    0 Down over 96 months @ 3.99%
    Bi Weekly Payment: $228

Included in the deal will be free oil changes for life, and either running boards or a remote starter (brr it can be cold in Edmonton:canada:). Originally the salesman offered to include a "48 month or 100K km Gold EPC" which he said would "extend the 36 month or 60k km warranty up to 48 or 100,000km. Gives me 2 years of all the maintenance and service free. Adds in free flat repair and replacement if the tire isnt repairable. and Extends roadside assistance to 48 months or 100k km from 36 months."

He said his cost on that package was $600+, I dont see a ton of value in that package and thought the running boards or remote starter would save me right away since they are 2 of the first things I'd do.

    Thoughts?

8 years of payments and nearly 10K in interest is way too much, but it is your money. Good luck.

You might want to consider the manual transmission with 8 years of payments. Then you should only have to worry about the engine holding up.

That price is in Canadian dollars correct? If you can swing a higher payment cut down on your term of your loan. That is a long time to be paying on a vehicle. The interest you'll be paying makes it less appealing but it's your money. I would slow down and male sure this makes sense for you financially. I have seen a handful of people that have sold their 3rd gen trucks on here after having a hard on to buy their trucks only to realize it was not right for them financially. Good luck and let us know how it all turns out.

Don't do it. Once you put gas in it the warranty is voided.

Yes, Canadian Dollars. I like the payment at 225, my Jetta is at 125 so that keeps it right around 350 bi weekly for the two. That's the lowest interest rate I can get, even on an 84 month term nobody will give lower than 3.99

However it is an open loan, so if I come into a surplus of money I can put some down and take term off the loan.
