My 14 prerunner has the I4 and I actually really like it. It was strong enough for everything I do with it. And I towed alot with it and I was very surprised with how well it did... No trans cooler worried me though and the lack of 4wd were what drove me to the other 2 Tacoma's I have

I had stock 2016 SR steel wheels and the TPMS sensors were transfered over to TRD "Beadlock" style wheels with no issues.

Naw, it's on this forum in several different places. I did a lot of checking before I bought my tires. I also checked with 3 different tire dealers (Dicscount Tire, Goodyear, and Firestone) and they all assured me it could be done.

I've read that 265/70R17 is about the biggest you can go without rubbing. I've found a good used set of 255/75 R17 but that transfers to 32.1" and is about 1/2" more narrow than the first mentioned. Will the height be the problem I find with rubbing or the width?

I'm pissed now, I just spent $60 a sensor at Americas Tires because they said that was the only option. What a waste of $240. Sucks I trusted them, and didn't look it up for myself.

Love my new Tacoma 2.7l 4x4 and it serves my needs .. if i was towing or hauling heavy loads i would have prob got the V6.
Have added a few accessories so far including Weathertech mud guards, tinted front windows, Lund nerf bars, vinyl black tailgate lettering, AVS in channel window visors, bedside SR5 4x4 decals, debadged all chrome and replaced door emblems with matte black vinyl TACOMA decals

First, can't believe I missed this thread. I love my DCSB 2.7! I haven't seen higher than about 22.5mpg but KY hills and 80mph on the highway seem to kick MPG butt lol. To compare, I was seeing around 25mpg in my 1.6 ecoboost Escape in the same driving.

I have not noticed any vibrations or buzzing.

Thanks! Yeah I love them but they weren't cheap... The bad part about them is when I was trying to get over some rocks yesterday all I could think about was not dinging them up. They are new so hopefully that will wear off after a while.

Those are the Toyota factory predator steps. You can get them right from the dealer. You can also look at the parts for sale section of this board. several members selling them for half of what you could get them for at the dealer.

Got my truck a few weeks ago, it's a 5 speed 4x4 with no back seats. I've got an a.r.e. mx canopy ordered it, Im really liking it so far. I've been driving four cylinder toyotas for years, and was driving my 84 daily until I bought this.

I thought it did fine. I'll admit I started getting into terrain that was a little too tight for my liking so I did a 900 point turn and got out of there. I can't bring myself to risk it with a brand new truck. I did crawl over some decent sized rocks and up some rutted hills with no real problems. Once you drop into 4 Low it does really well.
