New to the forum so if I break any of the rules just let me know.

I have a trd off-road and I want to make it more "off-road" looking. Should I lift it and get bigger tires or would bigger tires be enough?
    Any tips are appreciated thanks!

Don't listen to a lot of the egos around here. Welcome to TW, glad you joined. Ignore the egos and your will find a lot of great info here.

You can do either larger tires or tires and a lift. If you just do tires do not go over 265/75r16. If you go larger than this with no lift they will rub. I'm sure there will be others chiming in shortly. Look at the liftedge 2016 thread for ideas on how different lifts look.

    And again, welcome.

some drivetrain upfront would help

then sure. maybe a small leveling/lift setup and some more aggressive looking AT tires.

Rock sliders are a good option. I will be ordering some soon!
I am waiting on lift options.

some hub-centric wheel adaptors from spidertrax or allpro offroad and some 265/75-16 All terrains will have you looking pretty "offroady". sweet truck buddy, welcome to the forum.

Thanks for the feedback. I should have phrased this better but yeah I want a more aggressive/ off-road look. Something easy to do since I don't know too much about lifting a truck

this will have you lookin good. i would go with the spidertrax adaptors, i have the 1.25 inch, but i wish i had gone with the 1.50. its not much different but that extra clearance wouldnt hurt.

More agressive tires in the same size would do wonders for the look. BFG KO2s or General Grabber AT2s would look great.

Take it off road and get some dirt and scratches on it. Easiest way to get an off road look if you ask me.

Anyways OP, don't listen to these ego packed people. I take my 2wd off-road and I do just fine. If I were you, I'd level it and go up one tire size with KO2's. Makes a world of difference.

That makes no difference. A leveling kit is going to compensate for the weight.

I dont know why a 2wd vehicle owner wants and off road look. If it was a 4wd then adding some mud grips would be all you needed.

With a locker, 2wd's can do plenty of damage off-roading.

To be honest a 2wd with a rear elocker is good Offroad. Idk if this is your first Tacoma @Aussiek2000 but if it isn't you would/should have seen one Offroad before. My buddy @ahspurlock is a 2wd Offroad with rear elocker and has done some very impressive things.
