This is a general post for anyone who is interested in a set of these. There are already a few threads going about these but i wanted to make a general post with all the basic info. Same basic design that I have ran on my truck for 13 years with zero issues. I occasionally have a ready to go set for sale but they do go fast, but if anyone wants a set I can turn around in about 2 weeks. If there is one thing you DO NOT want to fail on an offroad truck it is the engine mounts. Save yourself hundreds or thousands of dollars from possible damages from heavy offroading with the weak stock mounts or using a "Band-Aid" fix that only replaces part of the factory mount. I have seen bolts broken off in the block, frame damage, oil pan damage, hood damage, transmission case damage and exhaust damage from a motor bouncing around once the mounts break. Trust me it's not fun or cheap to fix.

The extra side benefit is once your engine isn't twisting or flopping around anymore when you hit the gas, that energy is transferred much more efficiently down the drivetrain to the wheels. There is, in my opinion, a noticeable acceleration increase due to less power loss through the drivetrain. Engine vibration increase is minimal, most customers hardly notice anything.

Price is $375 for a set (plus shipping) I accept PayPal at ryan_tfg@hotmail.com

You can also DM me for more info or contact info/address for sending a check or money order. Shipping usually runs between $15-25 for most western states.

Got a slightly better deal from my supplier, so I lowered the 4.0L motor mount price. I basically passed the savings onto the customer. Now $375 instead of $400 for a set. Not much but it's something!

Sounds like a great deal to me. What's the install time on these?

Mechanically inclined people with the help of a friend and harbor freight quality tools can do the install in under 3 hours. That seems to be the common theme haha.

Is the mount for the 4.0L 4x4 auto the same as the manual transmission 4x4?

I would imagine but not 100% sure. This is due to the fact that they both use the same transfercase so the mounts should be the same. I am working on prototyping a trans mount/crossmember for the 4x4 manual hopefully sooner than later, but I have been held back by donor parts & payments.

The only 2nd gen trans mount/x-member I have a product for available for sale is the 2wd auto. I listed the prices in my sig because I know what I am going to retail them for.

Damn forgot about that bloody front diff:angrygirl:. How long before you think you'll have a 2nd crossmember out for 4x4 autos? If I'm going to get the motor mounts, might as well get trams mount as well:D

Never mind I realized afterward you have 2 different products here--solid motor mounts and solid transmission mounts I got confused about the way you had them listed in your sig

haha yeah it sure comes in handy sometimes but makes any front end work a PITA.

I was hoping to have the 4x4 trans mounts done and ready for sale by mid summer. Not sure if that's a feasible thing at this point due to the mentioned issues. It looks like it might be a later towards the end of the year thing at this point unless I find another option. I'm also neck deep in building the first set of 4.7 tundra mounts/trans mount right now which will hopefully be a good seller.

You don't need to do the trans & motor mounts at once. The motor mounts will greatly strengthen up your drive train and contrary to popular discussion, will not wreck your drivetrain if the trans mount is still stock. I've never had one customer come back to me with any issues by just doing the motor mounts alone in over 13 years of doing this. Unless you are racing in the desert, or seriously airing your truck out you do not need to do all at once. The trans mount will only further stiffen up your drivetrain for more rear wheel power and also fixes the widespread factory cross member cracking issue that a lot of people are noticing.

haha no problem. I can see what you mean. I wrote it that way to detail out that Its a full custom fabricated crossmember with the solid trans mount incorporated into it as a single unit, as opposed to a cheap bolt on trans mount by itself. See below pics:

Well I have never had to change mine out since I built the first set for my truck in 2003. And my truck has seen some abuse lol. My motor still to this day doesn't move more than a 1/16" when it revvs up.

Finished your mounts last night. Paint is drying right now.

Posted up the build on Instagram last night to show the internal gusseting.
