Ive been a loyal Tacoma owner for 12 years. I bought the 2015 before the 2016 was released, it was a good truck. The dealership convinced me to upgrade so I did. Picked it up end of January and by February the leaf springs would squeak, getting in and out of it let alone on every bump in the road, sharp corner, gassing and braking etc.... Etc.... Took it in right away (dealership is over hour away) the tech who was late to work then messed around for 1.5 hrs, end result and what he told me they were dirty and I just need to turn a garden hose on them. FYI I keep my Vehical very clean and even pressure washed it the day I went in so the lot boy won't "try" to clean it, but he did anyway!!! Left dealership and needed timmys, not 3 min has passed, several speed bumps in drive through and its squeaking just the same. The water he used on the bushing had dried. Went back and they have no fix. Went home enjoying the noise. Next day, noise killing me, decided to call the service department and ask if I could spray the bushings with a lubricant/oil?! They said no, I will do more damage. Had to Reschedul and went back to service so Toyota Canada could get involved. They assets "again" that I had suspension problems, new leaf springs ordered, rescheduled again. Went in yesterday morning to have new leaf springs installed. 2 hrs later it's done, no sqeak, drive home. Mechanic neighbour comes to look what they fixed but found heavy damage, marred metal and factory coating gone from ever rebound clip and under and on sides of springs themselves. So I take photos, send it to service. They then reply with it will happen over time with road debrise and wear and tear, but I can come back for service to spray some black paint on them. So I exchanged speaking for rusting/damaged springs! 6 service appointments in 4 months, I've owned some beaters/lemons in my life but never spent this much time on them, let alone it being BRAND F*#^ING NEW. service is a pile of !

I haven't tried a lot of stuff because I had luck with th first thing I reached for in my cabinet: Rem oil. I think I might've been cleaning a gun that day and thought "eh, why not? Won't hurt." A few squirts on both rear leaves and it's good and quiet between drive-thru car washes.

I'm sure there are other, more appropriate products out there, but in a pinch, Rem oil worked for me.
