I've bought quite a few parts through autopartsway - and i call and get a discount code, usually for 10-15% off.

    2nd that!

Ontario based company. Have spoken with Nathan a little. Has a lot of stuff for tacomas and willing to order other stuff in.
Also willing to offer roof top tent rentals too.
This is likely where I will be getting most of my stuff once I start my overland build. Just have to work out all the little bugs and outstanding maintenance due on my truck.

I still get most of my parts from the USA. If you have border storage it usually ends up being the cheapest especially if the USA is offering free shipping. I try to do some business with Kyle at Cochrane Toyota and other local vendors as well when it makes sense too. You have too support local when you can.

I'm always surprised at what shows up on Amazon.ca Prime.
The US side is awesome but I'm seeing more and more car parts show up, OEM and Aftermarket.

For guys in southern Alberta, sourcing your parts in the US and shipping them to At the boarder storage in Sweet Grass seems like the most efficient way to fly.

I have a pile of parts waiting for me now. If you're from Calgary the Eureaka, MT pickup point is just as close but a nicer drive. For me it's only an hour to Sweet Grass so that's where I ship to. You save most of your money in shipping because you skip brokerage fees and because the USA often has free 50 state shipping. You still have to pay taxes and duties though. I know so guys smuggle shit back however that's a first class way to end up being randomly selected for additional screening for the rest of your life should you ever get caught lol. Sometimes you get lucky anyways and they wave you through.

carid.com has been good to me, I have seen other companies beat the price - but they cant top the shipping all in one, so far so good.

carid.com is a drop shipper. If you do a little research on here you'll find they run into the same issues as the other drop shippers. Just be aware of that when it comes to specialized parts like suspension goodies. It may take you a while to ever see your item.

Purchased my Billies at Essex distributors. Excellent service as I called them a couple of times and emailed back and forth. Good prices. I prefer buying in Canada but damn it's hard finding some after market parts.
Finally found the bumper I want, made by pelfrybilt, bumper is $1100, and they want $993 for shipping.....crazy.
Made myself a US address but still hesitant.

As soon as you get stuff shipped you get hit hard depending on who the shipping company is.
If your within a tank of gas of the border then a USA shipping address is the way to go.
The border guys have been great when I've brought back parts, I tell them what I have, no problems.
Cochrane toyota has been good as well, and Essex for shocks.

Good to hear, maybe I'll bite the bullet seeing as I'm within an hour of the border.
    Thanks Traegar
