Hey all, - this is obviously my first post. I've been a Tacoma owner for a little over a year, and I've been creepily lurking on TW for about 6 weeks.

Here's a bit of an intro about my vehicular past and why I'm here. I purchased my 2015 DCSB TRD Sport in January of last year. I loved the body style, wanted the ability to tow small packages, and maybe start taking my daughter on camping trips when she's a little older. Knowing that I would see some dirt I also wanted a 4x4. Prior to my Tacoma, I've owned a used 78' Datsun 280zx, a used 95' Ranger, and a used 02' Civic. Being a life long IT pro, I've had pretty much 0 interest in vehicles and know very little about them, aside from googling how to fix crap when it breaks. That all changed when my buddy got me to run some trails with him.

A little less than two months ago, I took my stock Tacoma on some trails and to my surprise, I was able to tackle some decent challenges, even with street tires. Though, I had to work through lot of slippage. The experience was awesome and I've been out some after that. Since that first day, I've been lurking on TW, and several other parts of the internet to learn about this beastly little thing that has apparently been sleeping for a year plus while I drove it. The damn thing is quite capable, and it has me hooked on wheeling. Now I find myself on TW multiple times a day and all sorts of other places, researching everything I can about the truck and wheeling.

I have a decent parts list going at this point, but I like to research a lot before I start spending money. At this point, I haven't done anything to my truck but the mods are coming soon, when I feel comfortable with my direction in parts and etc. Fortunately, I have good friends with solid garages and years upon years of offroad and modification experience. I'll probably start throwing questions out on TW once I get to a point where I can't find answers.

Any way, TW looks like a new home for me. Everyone seems great, and I grew up with the internet so Trolls don't scare me! Thanks for taking the time to read, I hope to see some of you guys on the trail.

Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.
Welcome! And good to see another IT guy on here!
