They won't be able to do that since there is no oil level sensor in the transmission. Perhaps they could, however, read and display the two temp sensors in the transmission so we could check the fluid level without getting in to temp check mode.

Does anyone know how to adjust the Nav system to allow you to enter data like an address etc while driving? It will only allow me to enter an address while the brake is applied. I want to change this ASAP if possible

Although we've all found it to work great with our 2016 Tacomas, I haven't been able to get it to work with my friends 2012, 2013, and 2014 Tacos. Anyone know of an alternative app for older Tacos?

You can do this with the torque app. I saw a thread on it a while back. You have to do a couple of custom entries.

You can do it with the torque app, but Toyota is so secretive with the PID codes you would think its instructions on building a hydrogen bomb. I and others have made numerous attempts to get the codes with no luck. If anybody has them please PM me.

I've never had a problem with the nav yet and it's been almost 6 months.

I wish the nav would connect through Google to do voice-searches, I've found that trying to find a specific store, park, mall, etc. through voice commands is near to impossible. Even navigating to a city center can be a bit of a bitch sometimes.

I've done a search and can't find a thread for the Carista PIDs for 2016 trans temp. If you have time could you point me to one?

    Thanks!

Thanks for the heads up! I could of used the visor extension the last couple weeks to keep the sun out of my eyes on the way home from work (sun rise). This will definitely come in handy in the future

I have a question for the Carista ODB2 settings:

I do not want my instrument lights to dim all the time under bridges tunnels and such during the day and come back on as fast as possible if they do dim. What do I need to set these at? Thanks.

    Instrument lights dimming sensitivity
    DARKEST / DARKER / NORMAL / LIGHTER / LIGHTEST

    Instrument lights restoring sensitivity
    DARKEST / DARKER / NORMAL / LIGHTER / LIGHTEST

I've found the voice command for etune nav worthless as well. I use Siri hands free if I need nav while driving. Entune and voice doesn't work.

Entune recommends you train your voice to make it work well...if you haven't done that then it really is almost useless.

Set your light sensitivity to be less sensitive than you have now.

I don't know what the settings mean is why I asked. Can you help? I don't want it to dim constantly during the day. Which of the options is best?

    DARKEST / DARKER / NORMAL / LIGHTER / LIGHTEST

To restore fast which option is best?

    DARKEST / DARKER / NORMAL / LIGHTER / LIGHTEST
