Does this look infected - transmission fluid

    I posted up about some transmission problems I was having here https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/2002-doublecab-transmission-problems-time-for-4x4-swap.411767/

    Nasty stuff. Finally picked up a new/used transmission. Decided not to dive into a 4x4 swap just yet because the transmission I picked up was so cheap - paid $250 for a used one out of a 2001 v6 Prerunner.

    Got them swapped out this past weekend. Here is what the fluid pan from the one I pulled looked like after draining. Man was it bad.

    '00 Taco 3.4 4x4 TRD ( <3), '06 Taco Prerunner 4.0 (totaled)
    3 inch lift. bluetooth stereo. blue transparent skulls shift knobs
    looks like the stuff that's left over after grinding flywheels. which is what something would look like after some break in oil was used. i don't think its too bad. just wasn't changed as often as it should.

    Eh. Transmission was toast I do believe. Check out the video I posted in the other thread. That fluid had seen fewer than 15k miles.
