Florida B.S. Thread

Well I guess I'm joining the 3rd gen club. I test drove one and really liked it. Engine felt similar to my current 1gr and I thought that the new auto felt less "slushy" than the 2nd gen auto I test drove. I'm going to be going from a MGM TRD Sport Access Cab 4x4 MT to a Super White TRD Offroad 4x4 Access Cab auto.

The new body style has really grown on me a lot. I also really like the interior, it seems like an upgrade from my 12. Getting rid of my second gen because I want an auto, I'm tired of shifting gears and my tiggle bitties can't be taught how to drive a stick, she's literally un teachable. We do a lot of road trips and I'm getting tired of getting boned with doing all the driving.

Going to have the dealer work an ARE overland cap into the deal and I think I'm going to see if I can get them to make me a good deal on some 265/75/16 Cooper STT Pro's.

Also, I learned this from buying me second gen and won't make the mistake again... I already have Weathertec floor liners and Cover King ballistic nylon seat covers on the way. Two best upgrades it think you can do to a truck that gets used as a "truck."

 

Fl is still a no fault state. That being said, if a driver caused a crash, they can still be cited. The insurance companies take that into consideration. It's all smoke and mirrors with the insurance companies. If the at fault driver gets cited, his insurance company pays.

 

Similar thing when the 4runner was in a accident. Kasie t boned a ranger that someone waved through, moral of the story unless you're100% wait until you can confirm its clear. The other guy got the ticket and only had 10k to use on his insurance or some crap. We had to claim it on ours and they went after his insurance for it.

Basically the same thing happened to me when I got hit, girl cutting across 3 lanes. If I wouldn't have swerved it would've been worse. She was at fault/got the ticket & her insurance paid for everything.

This ^^^, and if citations are issued and there is no independent witness the magistrate dismisses them. Consider yourself lucky if the other driver has insurance. Welcome to Florida.

 

Don't forget, you have like 2 weeks to report any medical problems, then you're SOL!

 

That's terrible. All that work you did to your truck to end up like this due to someone else's carelessness. Everyday when I drive to and from work there is always someone trying to change lanes w/o using turn signals or if they do use them they don't even turn their damn head to see if clear to cross over.

The grill is a TRD PRO grill.

 

@Timbo89 is selling a winch with a mount that looks about as clean as that. And The led bar is on a bracket that mounts around the lower grill.

 

ive seen his version that replaces the lower valence.

 

i meant the lower led mount bar and winch between the bumper and lower valence

 

@Pelfreybilt has a hidden winch set-up just like that.
