    Hey guys,

Just signed up! Hoping someone can give me some help with Bull Bars. I would like a set for the truck for driving on dirt roads and through tall grass while hunting etc. I know alot of guys aren't fans of them but I like them and think that something out front is better than the stock plastic. I don't wanna go huge like a full bush bar or bumper, so I think a bull bar is just the ticket. I am looking at the Aries Stealth 3". I like the black bars and chrome skid plate mostly cause I can't decide between black and chrome alone. Has anyone got bull bars on theirs? I have been searching for a picture of a 2016 with bulls but can only find older versions. Anyone have a pic of a 2016? Has anyone used Aries stuff before? We're you happy with the quality etc? Thanks for the help!

Thanks that's great. As stated in that other thread, has anyone seen bull bars that are more contoured to the new Gen? Those other ones do have a weird angle underneath.

Also, is there that big a difference between stainless steel and carbon steel? There's a big jump to go stainless but do I need it?

You won't find too much love for bull bars on this site, that said I don't think they look all that bad so long as they aren't chrome. I have a chrome one on my truck that came with it about a month ago, looking to take it off this weekend.

For some reason, the 3rd gens I've seen with bull bars all look like they sit too far in front of the bumper, they look much better when they're more snug to it. There was a member on here not too long ago that had that issue but was able to pull it back some. Something to look out for anyway.

May I recommend Avid Off road bumper guard? Pricier than a bull bar, but feels much more solid.

I have nothing against bull bars, they look good imo and are a decent way to mount a few lights. I had one on my 2nd gen, and while trailing, it hurt my approach angle, so a little dip in the trail pushed into my bull bar and shoved it into my front bumper. Left some bad scratches, and dented the "skid plate" on the bull bar.

They offer zero protection, but if you don't plan to wheel they're fine.

    BlackT4R and RogueTRD like this.

What brand bed rack/cover are you running on your rig? Can you provide additional pics? (sorry for the thread hike!)
