Had a rubbing sound in my diff. It was the oil baffle but this is what my week old oil looked like....could it be from metal shavings ? It's silvery metallic

 

Oil is like one week old since I had my Arb installed

 

Who set up the gears/diff?

 

Coast gear did it. I'm hoping it's just because the oil baffles inside were running the axle shafts

So when I have the truck up on jackstands, and I grab a front tire - how much should the steering rack allow the tire to move? It moves in sync with the steering wheel until the steering wheel locks.

I am wondering if I am getting more road feedback through the rack and to the steering wheel than I should be.

Who the fuck "Quits" during a race ?? I mean a DNF is one thing but to take your ball & going home because you quit seems a little weak, shit I'd LOVE to have a shot at just driving a race truck......

Jeff, I don't even know who quit what race, not important it's just the idea of it, I guess if you suddenly became ill... I dunno...

 

BJ Baldwin quit the Baja last year because he was sick and then blew up an axle IIRC. I think he only did like 100 miles or something tops? I don't remember exact details, just that it was funny.
