I picked up a 2016 a couple weeks ago, and it came with the OEM Tri-fold Tonneau Cover. While I like the cover for the most part, I'm wondering how it might perform in the Winter with respect to the seals at the folding points. I live in the Northeast, and we get some pretty bad winter weather, especially nearing spring time, which is characterized by freezing rain overnight. I tend to think it would be unwise to try to fold/unfold it during these times. Perhaps, it should be left off during the bad months?

    Thoughts? Experiences?

    Thanks in advance!

I don't have experience with freezing rain in Colorado but we have a few big snow storms the past 4 months and I haven't seen any problem. We would get dumped on then it would start melting the next day and then freeze over night and everything seems fine. Granted its only a few months but I haven't had any problems so far.

I live in the NE - had my truck all winter long no problems. Leave it on unless you need to remove it for a reason. It will hold up and not leak.
