    The beach officially closes at midnight year round, and park rangers regularly patrol the area. So unfortunately no overnight camping here. I was just down the cape over the weekend, and Herring Cove got beat up pretty bad this winter. Only 1/5 of the parking lot is open right now, but I imagine it will be fixed in the next month or so.

    That Wood Lake forest fire last summer messed things up nicely along Harrison West. It's very eerie driving through that section now.
