02 Tacoma 3.4 cam sensor

    2002 Tacoma 4wd 3.4 v6. Sr5 trd
    need your help guys. I replaced the camshaft positioning sensor in my truck after getting the po340 code. My check engine light is still on. My ultra gauge is throwing code po340 still. Any suggestions on how to get the ce off????? I tried disconnecting the battery which worked for a whole minute brief ore light came back on. Please help

    3 inch lift. bluetooth stereo. blue transparent skulls shift knobs
    p0340 indicates a problem with the circuit, not the sensor (so much). thoroughly inspect the wiring~!!!!! some wires may have broken inside the conduit which is causing weak signal. ive seen it before, but in a 74 porsche. or just check for bad grounds. and make sure all connections are good at the connectors and terminals.

    Ok I've checked ever connection I can see and all are tight. I have also checked wires that I can see and don't see any nicks or rubbed spots. Any other suggestions

    remove position sensor, turn engine manually, watch for any clumps of grease/oil stuck inside the teeth of the camshaft. or remove the valve cover and have a look inside (could be messy)

    When I replaced the sensor I had to remove the timing belt cover. Camshaft teeth looked clean no grease or oil on them
