Here's a picture of my truck at one of Pennsylvania's state-owned liquor stores, loaded up with about TEN GRAND worth of hooch (the guy in the picture is a friend of mine and one of the bartenders at the bar where I work as a barback; picture from sometime in 2016):

My parents bought a new house, so we've been using the Tacoma a lot to move furniture from the old house to the new one. In these pictures, take on April 6, 2016, you see me sitting in my late Grandma's Barcalounger in the bed of my truck. Life is good!

I hauled a lot of stuff on Saturday, June 11, 2016...

The first load of the day was an old gas fire pit that spent many, many years on the 2nd level patio at the bar/music venue where I work. The guy standing in the bed of my Taco is a bartender and also a satisfied 2nd gen Tacoma owner himself (he has a gray 2014 DCLB TRD 4x4).

    IMG_2288.jpg

Just take one look at this thing and you'll understand why we're dumping it...

Fast-forward to about 6pm that evening. My former teacher knows I drive a Tacoma and regularly pays me to haul stuff for her. In this case a friend of hers was moving from a friend's house to her own rental house. A friend of the friend was supposed to use his truck to haul these two mattresses and two box springs, but it turns out the "truck" was a Chevy Suburban that actually couldn't haul all four of them. I got the call while I was at work and made a little extra money...

    IMG_2299.jpg IMG_2300.jpg

And the final load of the day, at about 7-8pm. I hauled an antique china cabinet thing from the aforementioned teacher's mom's house to the teacher's own house and made even more money! Gotta love it when your daily driver is a pickup truck!

I forget when I took these pictures, but believe it was January or February 2016. I was hauling these wood chairs from the bar/music venue where I work to an offsite storage facility. I thought it was cool how I stacked the chairs.

Wife and I recently had our china cabinet refinished by a pro. We bought it 27 years ago, in the Philippines. It's solid wood... mahogany... and buying a new one was not worth it to us. $2500+ for pressed wood and laminate or $5000+ for a really good one.

I paid $1300 to have mine made like new again. Hauling it was a pain in the ass. It's friggin' heavy.

Most unique thing I have hauled with my truck was a pecky cypress kitchen island that my cabinet shop built. Pecky cypress is naturally filled with voids creating a very cool look that we then gray washed before installing.

If the Tundra can tow a shuttle, then the Tacoma would probably have no problem towing 10,000 pounds of weed!

However, I hope law enforcement officials don't read this because now they're gonna be pulling over every Tacoma with out of state plates as it drives through their state, especially if it's towing a trailer!

It RARELY got above 75°F in Oak Harbor, even in the summer. How often do you use the A/C in your Taco?

The race isn't over until somebody drags the shithouse off the lake.

Rather fitting, considering our trucks are built like brick shithouses! Unlike actual brick shithouses, however, they actually look good!
