Weekly trip to the lake. 22' bowrider, somewhere around 4k lbs w/ trailer. I can definitely feel it stopping (no trailer brakes:eek:).

And I know it's not a Tacoma but I had to share... Loading two jet skis in the back. Guess it's cheaper than a trailer!

Only the maglight mod, mounted on floor drivers side, billet antenna and have lined all storage under rear seats with rubber to keep the rattling to a minimum.
    Don't flood the rear diff!

Changed out the screen to that green/blue-ish look. More in line with the display on any rear view mirrors.

Did your 2015 Pro come with this overhead temp unit? How did you change the color?

Didn't come with the Pro. I think Toyota phased out the temp/compass gauge after the 2010 model year(could be wrong). Missed the stand alone temp/compass feature on the 15. So I ended up using one from an 08. Tap into the connector from the auto-dimming rear view mirror for power and illumination, ran the ambient temp sensor in front of the radiator, and tapped into the vehicle speed sensor(VSS).

Changed out the screen with a 97-01 Explorer temp/compass gauge screen.

Nice. I was just thinking about doing this but wasn't sure if parts were compatible w the 2015. Do you have the part numbers you've used? Thanks.

This info is pretty much what I give to those member(s) who ask regarding modding the temp/compass gauge to the newer model year. I don't have a part number for the gauge b/c that part is a whole overhead console. I got mine from eBay. Just look up 05-08 overhead console.

    Temp sensor.

Connector that plugs into the sensor.

Terminal repair wire. Inserted into that white connector.

You'll be running 2 wires from the gauge to the front of the radiator for the ambient temp sensor(Yellow and Gray). Run the VSS wire from the gauge to the back of the radio(Violet w/White stripe).

So you got a total of 3 wires coming from the gauge, through the A-pillar, 2 wires goes through the firewall(Yellow & Gray), and 1 wire(Violet w/White stripe) to the back of the radio for the VSS.

For power wire#1(LG) and illumination wire#4(G)
Per the diagram for the accessory meter.

You can tap into 2 wires from the connector that plugs into your auto dimming rear view mirror. Let me know if I miss anything.

Wires from the gauge plug connects to-
Green= Illumination+ > Red wire from rearview mirror plug.
Light Green= Ignition+ > Light Green from rearview mirror plug.

For the last wire Ground (White w/Black stripe) you tap that into the map light ground which is the same color.

That should be it. Please let me know if I miss anything

Last time I took my '13 into the dealership for the final "free" oil change, they mentioned that as a recall. I had them check mine and they said mine was normal. Might want to have it checked.

Yeah, I wouldn't do anything until the springs settle. Chances are it's going to be back to what it was.

Close, my 2011 TRD Sport came with it.

Did you know that you can enter the setup menu on the mirror and change the display colors? I think there are four or five color options.

Push and hold the "Power" button on the mirror until the screen comes up in the back up camera screen on the rear view mirror.

I just installed the poly radiator support bushings! What a difference, about 12 months ago I started having a metal on metal clanking in the front end. Almost like sheet metal on sheet metal, it was driving me crazy. I bought the poly radiator support bushings and the noise is gone!

Just ordered new LCA to get rid of the thud going over bumps.
