I am curious...what's the deal with the soft topper? Is there a benefit to having one of those over the hard shell. Easier on and off? Priced lower? Jus wondering...thanks

They're a lot cheaper and you can fold them up without removing them if you need to load something into your bed and need it out of the way. Can't do that with a hard canopy. Edit: This isn't my truck. Just pulled it off Google.

How do you see out of your rear view mirror? That's my biggest concern

It has clear Windows front and back like a regular topper. They are flexible like a jeep soft top. Vision in rearview the same as regular topper.

Kind of funny that it took so long to find. A DCLB OR was the first model of the 2016s that I actually saw in person way back in late September last year (2015). This one was an Inferno though.

Maybe its a regional thing. There were none on the ground in a 500 mile radius of Nashville. There were some "to be built" but couldn't get any firm answer from dealer that they could actually get it to their lot. It all worked out though. I'm really happy with this one and really liking the Barcelona red with the grey wheels/top.
