2016 Tacoma TRD Off Road 4x4
Raptor 4" Oval Nerf Bars Extang 2.0 Tonneau Cover
Hi, everyone. This is my second Tacoma, the first was a 1998 SR5 4x4. I sold it in 2010 with 160000 miles. Never a problem. Very happy to be back with Tacoma. Believe it or not, I traded my BMW 328i for it. Missed a truck so I said what the hell.

Thus far, I have put on 4" Raptor oval nerf bars and the Extang 2.0 cover as well as Husky mats and bedcover. All are working out well. In addition, I removed the TRD decals from the rear fenders and put on a metallic silver "TACOMA" decal on the tailgate. I like it but would be interested in your reaction to it.

I have already had a few people stop me in parking lots and remark on how good looking the truck is.

My only negative observation thus far is the hunting for gears with my automatic transmission, particularly in the 30-45 mph range. ECT helps a little, but not much. I am sure I will get used to it and hopefully it will improve as my mileage gets up beyond a thousand or so.

My gas mileage has only averaged 17 or so (self measured) on the first couple tanks, but all the driving has been in town.

This is a great forum and I look forward to being an active participant.
