Dirt roads are inviting... Cadillac awd doesn't have much flex, and it's raining and foggy here.

And this is also a big difference in some antenna designs. There are whips, base loaded whips, and top loaded antennas. Loading means more of the antenna wire is coiled or located at one end or the other. On a base loaded whip (which some of the more popular Wilsons are), you end up with more of the antenna below/blocked by the cab. On a top loaded such as a FireStik, even with the lower half of the length below the cab, the actual antenna wire is longer above the cab because there are more coils the higher you go.

And if you're having trouble getting one antenna tuned, and the person helping you has one or a spare particularly of a different kind, try swapping and see if it makes any difference. And do make sure you're trying to tune out in the open. Downtown/under or around power lines... not a great idea.

I bet if you offered $800 they'd take it. Or show up with $700 cash and put it in their hand. Wheels and tires for $1000 isn't too far of a stretch.

I've seen them sell for 1200-1300 in CA. I sold my tires alone for $600.

Ya I can see the price for brand new wheels and tires. But not something that was used and not knowing how they were treated.

$250 each for new tires and wheels? Not terrible. If you are not in a rush to sell, set the price high based on what others are offered for and see what bites. Sometimes people buying are not in their right mind. :D

I paid less than 75 a tire for full size spares off people here. My 5th was 50 for the wheel. Seems ridiculous
