Feeler: 2nd gen headlights

So I did the BHLM on my truck this weekend. I must say from about 5 ft away that I love them. However, I'm anal about it and not happy with a few chips along the edges. I am most likely going to buy a new set. I would prefer to have the 09 smoked lights but, if that is going to cost to much I will take any 2nd gens that are in new or like new condition. By this I just mean not altered(like never being baked and pulled apart!), as I don't want any leaks. The condensation drives me nuts. PM me if you have some laying around that you might want to get rid of. Thanks!
I also need to add that the clip that attaches the light to the grill is broken. It has been for about 6 months.(Got hit by a shredded piece of tire on the freeway) The only effect is when you push the top corner of the grill, it will push back about 1/4". It is not noticable from the outside, or really even when you pop the hood unless you are looking for the broken clip.

I have a pare of the stock headlights laying around but im not sure if i want to sell them. The ones i have on now don't have the amber reflectors on them and i think you need them to pass inspection. If I don't need them to pass inspection i might sell them. Does anyone know if you can pass inspection in NJ with out those stupid amber reflectors?

 

I thought all that was needed was the colored lens over the Blinker, but I'm not sure.

How bad are the chips you are reffering to, and do your headlights have condensation issues now that you have done the mod?

 

that looks pretty good man. I dont blame you about being pissed about the chips.. but no one (but you) will ever see them. However, i'm just as anal about these things.. Good luck!

 

you can get a set of these round 120-130 shipped to your door. ive had them on my truck for about 2 months in the northwest and its been raining the whole time. no leaks. just had to adjust the once i put them in.

last time i bought from ebay one light didn't work, both leaked, and the company would not respond when i tried to contact them. can't complain though, i kept those at no cost!

 

I wouldnt mind making the switch but it would have to be an overnight turn around since the lights would be coming directly from my truck.

 

I'm not sure that an overnight turn around is possible without some very expensive shipping.

Hey dont worry about the drivers side HL. That is a common problem for some reason. I've had to redo my drivers HL 3 times for that reason(well last time was the fogging issue). But its all fixed now.
