2014 Tacoma M5 Black

Just retired and traded my 2004 Tacoma 4 x 2 for a 2014 Tacoma M5 4 x 4 with 26500 kms on the odometer. Found this site Googling for rust problems with the 2014's as I noticed frame rust on some welds. I had to have the 2004 treated under the Toyota extended warranty. I'm hoping Toyota has resolved the frame rust problems as I live in 'salty' Canada. I'm serious considering a rust preventative and would appreciate any suggestions.
