Always remember and reflect who brings what to the table in buying a vehicle. The dealers clearly have an MSRP price on every vehicle its the customers who makes the choice to buy at that price or ask for a discount and that is when the games begin.

Use google find out what people are paying in your area and ask them to match that price "Market value" is fair for both sides. Financing again your asking the dealer to work for you get your own before you go in because I can assure you nobody works for nothing.

Have a plan before you go to the dealership or you will end up like this guy

    One more thing
EVERYONE WILL TELL YOU HOW LITTLE THEY PAID FOR THEIR CAR YET TELL YOU HOW EXPENSIVE THEIR HOUSE COSTS!!

I only paid 35k for my 4 door TRD off-road with the tech package and tow package but I have the short bed. Wash the loan and negotiate a better price I would say. Hit them with the 7% tax and depreciation with a lower overall price. The loans gonna be washed and you won't have any obligation and so you're back to the beginning; so get a better price.

No mention of the dealer's location?

I hope the OP succeeds in this.

    ^ lol
Alright. Went back yesterday. Got it all straighten out. Lots of phone calls, 3 hours of sitting around but I wasn't as pissed driving off the lot.

They did have another truck with the tech pkg they wanted to hook me up with. Magnetic Grey wasn't my thing. So I'm keeping the Silver Sky truck, they refunded the $2300+ which went back to the bank. My payment went down about $50/mth. I didn't get the bed mat as I've hoped but walked away with an 8yrs/75k years bumper to bumper for free.

There wasn't much to discuss. I already called every mofos at the place with a tittle and stopped by twice to tell them about this for the last three days. Obviously the truck doesn't have the tech package. Salesman was overzealous. I had all the texts and emails corresponding (two weeks worth of it) which I printed it out and salesman didn't have much to say except "I fuckedup and sold you the wrong car."

They also offered me a Silver Sky Limited but that was way more money than the TRD sport. $33K before taxes and fees for the truck after all said and done.

Toyota of Morristown in NJ people. I think Chris Crispy runs the joint. I hope this Tacoma lasts because I'm in no mood to buy another truck for the next 15 years.

Glad it had a happy ending OP.

I wonder if somehow maybe they gave 2 people the wrong truck? Seems if so the other person would be in a good position to keep their mouth shut.
