This weekend's project was to install an ARB bumper on the tacoma. Early Saturday morning we got up and headed 60 miles to 4 Wheel Parts in Charlotte NC to pickup the bumper we ordered. As you can see its quite large.

Once back home the demo work begins. You have to remove the grill, bumper, head light trim, crash bar, and bumper extentions.

You have to cut off a portion of the original bumper to use as trim between the new ARB and the truck. This was the part I was most concerned about but in the end there was nothing to it. Just follow the directions, measure twice, cut once.

Once cut the smaller portion is reattached to the truck.

Finally time to install new parts. Let the fun begin.

Patty sorted out all of the hardware for me.

The bumper support goes on first.

Time to unwrap the new bumper

    No dings or scratches.

Time to unbox the winch and introduce it to the new bumper.

    Winch controller wired and mounted.

Turning the winch gearbox so we can reach the handle.

Top bolts went right in. 2 hours later still trying to bolt the bottom bolts through the fairlead. Patty asks if the bolts are long enough. Nope 1/2 inch short. Looks like a trip to the hardware store Monday.

Thanks to my son in law for coming by and helping me lift the bumper on to the truck. Now to get it all bolted.

    Winch wired to battery

Once you have to bumper adjusted and gaps even you drill 2 holes on each side for bolts that will lock in your adjustments.

    Install turn signal/foglight assembly

    Bottom cover installed

Did you switch out the indicator bulb to 10w? Or leave it 21w?

Could you post a picture of your signal/foglight assembly? Want to see how you wired it. My arb has been on for at least 6 months and I havnt wired the fogs yet.

Yeah it's wierd the foglight came with a 10w bulb . Oops I mean the indicator and turn light and on the instruction it says switch out 25w for 10w but when I took the indicator off it has a 21 w so I just swapped it but u still double checking if it's legit also the bolts and nuts are a pain the ass doesn't really tell u what is what it was all tossed in there trying to search which bolt is m10 etc
