Oh wow, I almost ordered one of these from BPF, thanks for the link to the gladfab, serious costs savings there and more realistic. WOnder if he will let me swing by on one of my trips through the area to save the shipping.

Where are you now with the sliders and roof rack design/fab/marketing/pricing/ordering?

I'm thinking of changing my sliders to a more sturdy/jack friendly set.

    Hey Taczilla,

I've been tied up a bit because I'm moving at the end of the month. However I changed up the design for roof rack to reduce the welding costs so that is good. I really like the idea as it works well with what I want the business to specialize in, which is modular products. The new design makes it affordable enough to manufacture in Canada and sold at a reasonable price. Sometime in early May I will be back into getting the drawings and hopefully get things going.

Are you looking at weld on sliders or bolt on? I haven't looked into mfg them but really wouldn't mind getting on that after the roof rack and bed rack is done.

E.v. I'd be interested in a good roof rack that utilizes the existing bolting points. I'm not looking for anything crazy: SUP, canoe type of stuff. Keep up the good work!!

Thanks for the interest Rusty! I'm trying to get crackin' on designs, unfortunately I moved into a new house that needs a lot more attention than I thought. Delaying me way more than I thought.

Realistically I won't have much going until late summer I'm thinking. By the time I can get the designs, make the prototype, torture test it and make sure it's safe for highway/road use then market it.

Some interest is coming up. And I am always looking to get my costs down. At the moment the biggest cost is the main frame plate as I have to source it out. Between plasma and bending it eats up funds. I am exploring an alternative but at the moment it looks to be similar cost. Now if I could get a few people to order at once....That would get some of the costs down.

PM sent back. Thanks for the interest.

Also it looks like there may be some interest in ONT for these. If others are interested please let me know and we may be able to do a group shipping. I know ONT is large but perhaps we can make something work.

    Ok,

So I have new pricing in and have started to work with a local fabricator. His shop is better then my garage.

We will start offering the sliders LBDC for $750 CDN plus shipping. This is for DOM tube with kick out, unpainted. I can do powder coating and will charge my cost but I can not guaranty it for shipping. I can also add filler plates if interested.

If you are interested in the sliders or any other fabrication please PM me and we can chat.

You might want to start your own thread with info and pics... and reserve the second post for updates. A location besides CDN would be good info as well. This item is buried in this thread, info is spread out and hard to find, and has limited exposure.

Yes I know. I have already been given the go ahead from the site guru's to do so and become a possibly become vendor but am in the midst of a major life change ;) I do not want to start a thread only to not be able to reply right away as that will be bad for business and not fair to people that are genuinely looking for information. When I do something I tend to go full bore into it and want it done right. Keep an eye out as a thread will probably be popping up some time this month if all works out.

Those welded or bolted on? Definitely on my radar as buying anything from the US right now is pricey.
