Wind noise problem

TACO ACCESS CAB 2009 HAS A WIND NOISE PROBLEM
ANY IDEAS ON HOW TO CORRECT IT

 

It's pretty loud in my truck to at highway speeds. I don't think it's a problem.

There is a guy on here that put some sort of extra seal between the doors and the door jam and that reduced it.

 

You might try lubricating all of your door seals with silicone. I use a product that's supposed to be a "tire shine". It's almost pure liquid silicone.

All neoprene seals tend to become stiff with time, especially in hot, dry climates. I think Texas qualifies.

While you're cleaning and greasing the seals with silicone, make sure that whatever door frame they contact is clean. Mud jammed here and there can cause some neat sounds.

If these maintenance tricks don't work, a good body shop can check door alignment and fit. Their initial check will be to drag a dollar bill along each seal with the door closed. There should be light drag on the bill. If it "slips" at any point, the seal is poor, causing noise.

if its from the windshield i think there is a TSB to fix it. I get noise from mine, i need to get it replaced.

 

The first time I herd that wind noise i thought it was my font end. I buckled up right away thinking my front end was going to fall off. And mine is very loud i could have my music on 50 and can still hear it.

 

i find these trucks to lack insulation. road noise is crazy, even just closingthedooor. Thhhinnn! really needs some insulation. i also hear a far anoumt of road noise as well, but not a wind noise.

I have found though that with the access cab, if the back door is not fully close, and i try and close the front door, the seal is not tight at all.
