    That's comfy on your hand?

Tried these two recently as I got them for free. Dug the round one more looks wise.

Keeping the other one as a backup.

Bringing this thread back from the dead.

I need some inspiration for a new shift knob. I found this thread but it hasn’t been updated in some time. So, what are y’all currently running?

After looking at a bunch of different options, I kept circling back to where I started. Trusted my gut and went with a Cobb Tuning Subaru Sti 6-spd knob. Fits great, feels great...very pleased :D

Does it get hot in the summer and cold in the winter? Like unbearably so?

    Looks fantastic.

    Thank you!

It is a Delrin (fancy thermoplastic) knob. It is not affected by hot/cold like a metal knob. I didn’t want to deal with that drawback either.

I was stoked to discover Subaru and Toyota knobs use the same thread pitch.
I’ve had a Cobb shift knob in my Subaru for years - no complaints. I decided to borrow the knob out of my 2.5RS and tried it in the truck as a test and loved it. I ordered up the knob almost immediately.

$70 shipped from Cobb. I went with the six speed version for a cleaner look. Has a decent weight, probably similar to stock.

Oh damn. That’s awesome. I thought it was aluminum which are simply unfriendly in this climate.

Same thing goes out here on the east coast. Delrin was the only way to go imho.

you will need to drill a hole to match M12 hole size (12 mm). Or you can drill a larger hole and get a m12 threaded insert. Look at M12 threaded inserts and see the outer diameter for a hole size
