Who else got one: Toyota Owners' Intersection Invite

Had this in my inbox today. Curious how many of us got them.

I'm guessing it goes to new purchasers within the last year. A quick google reveals they've done this for a few years and is mentioned on Prius and Tundra forums too.

If you've joined, have you seen any actual benefits of doing so?

Apparently no one...

 

I get them all the time since I bought my 2015 a year and a half ago.

I told them a few times I'd like better gas mileage. Apparently they listened and put a smaller engine and a gutless and confused automatic transmission in the 2016's, but all I suggested was a 6th gear with 1000 fewer rpms at 75mph.

So, sorry guys. I'm afraid your new trucks (at least those of you with automatic transmissions) suck bloated donkey balls because of me.

 

No but seriously.

I did do a survey immediately after buying the 2015, and complained about a lot of stuff in detail. Truck is basically fine so far, but they really hold back in lots of areas compared to other manufacturers and market segments.

I wonder if my original survey response "put me on the list," or if these are just sent to every new owner.

And again, did you see any benefit to joining?

 

i have no idea if my answers have benefited anything as participation is kind of a one way street, but I do enjoy doing them, so there's the short term entertainment value for me at least.

 

Hm. OK. So Amazon gift cards have not rained down upon you?

I imagine they aren't asking real questions like would you like other engine options, or prefer a device docking pad rather than Entune, etc.

Lol no. As far as I'm concerned, those $250 and $500 prizes are bullshit and don't actually exist.

Their questions are mostly, "do you have these features and how often do you use them?"

 

1. Yeah, no doubt.
2. Yeah, great. Backwards satisfaction.

OK, I think I'll go mod my truck instead of complaining about it.

 

I received one as well. I'm not sure if it's legit or some kind of scam to get my info. I'm going to pass, it's just not worth the risk for me. Besides I never win anything anyway.

Just got one today. I usually trash those types of emails figuring their a scam but I did take the time to fill this one out. Questions were kind of strange.

 

Got one too... just after getting a different survey thing.... hmmmm

 

Well I bought 2 and have no invite to anything. No one likes me

 

I received one..and being the cautious person I am ...I googled it and ended up here. I have had 3 Tacoma's, love the truck.
My only wish is for back up lights that actually provide enough light to see to back up!
Let's see if that comment has any place in the survey.
