I was on the fence about what tires to get. I had Nittos Terra Grapplers and wanted to stick with a all terrain. M/Ts look sick but not practical for me. I went from stock tires to ProComp Extreme AT. These we very heavy and rode very harsh on road offroad and air'd down they were good. Since I drive on road most of the time I sold these after 2 months. I then got The Nittos 285/75/17 E load. These tires were good, they rode nice but were a little loud at highway speeds and a little stiff.

I contemplated getting another set of Nittos, I looked at coopers, bfgs, and just about every other AT on the market. I had settled with the coopers, even had them waiting for me at my local tire shop. The day before they were to be installed I was turned on to the Falkens. Let me tell you, I couldn't have made a better choice (of course this is my opinion). The look much better in person than in pictures. The ride is softer than the Nittos and just a little stiffer than stock. At highway speeds wind noise is louder than the tires. With the windows rolled up and talking on my bluetooth the person on the other side can't tell Im driving. With the Nittos they could. As far as looks, people think they are a M/T.

Tread pattern looks pretty good, but not a fan of the stance. It looks like half of the front tire sticks out beyond the fenders. I feel sorry for the people that have to ride behind you. I imagine you fling crap all over their hood & windshield.

The stance as you put it, is from the spindle lift, not wheel spacers or wheel off set. I had this "stance" for 5 years and NEVER once had anyone complain or give me a dirty look. Well....I guess that's what I get for buying spindles and expos. Do you think I should get a spacer lift kit and blocks?

Looks great! I haven't seen this Falken before, they do look like an aggressive AT. Any experience off road with them yet?
I'm running the same stance with my spindles, don't let the haters hate

I was up at Gorman this past weekend. Did a few trails nothing extreme. I feel they did better than the Nittos. They felt real soft and had crazy traction once I aired down. I can't wait till next winter to see how they do in the mud. As you know being in so cal we don't get much mud out here. Yeah it's easier to hate than to congratulate.

I'm glad I saw this. I had 285/75/17 Toyo MTs on my 2007 Tacoma and loved that tire size, just not the price. I just got back into a 4x4 Tacoma, and wanted to go back to that tire size but just couldn't see paying the crazy prices they want for most tires in this size when I could purchase 315's cheaper. I saw Falken had an option in that size a few days ago and have been debating pulling the trigger on these

I have the same exact tires/size on my Tundra and absolutely love them. Perfect size IMO and the tires have been amazing for the last 2 months. Only downside is the weight, but that is to be expected with a 34 and these Falkens are right at the same weight as the other 285/75/17 tires.

I like the finished look with the wheels & tires. I'm in the market for a wheel and tire package right now. How much lift did you end up going with to eliminate tire rubbing?

Decided I was going to pull the trigger on them this afternoon, only to be told by discount tire that they are on a 90 day or more back order in that size :(

I too would like to know what you have in addition to the 4" spindles to help clear that 34" tire.

    Sorry guys I didn't realize I wrote 75. They're actually 70s.
I have 3 inch spindles with the bilsteins set 1.75". I'm going to replace my shocks due to mileage. I'm going to set the new ones to 2.75". There is a little rubbing while turning while backing up. I was up at Victorville last weekend and while driving through some washes I had some rubbing. With the new shock settings it should go away.

Boost, armor, lights, big tires, no savings.
If you could correct your title that would be great. There's a big difference 75 and 70 and figuring out this information is tough enough without having to sort through the misinformation. Thanks.
