Raleigh North Carolina and surrounding areas

I hope there are a lot of trees around for all these hammocks. I've never tried one, but I just can't see it helping my old ass back too much. I've got a Big Agnes bag with a sleeve for an air mattress that sleeps super nice. I've got some great sites in the Wilson Creek area I hike and camp at that I found when I went to App St.
I don't really know a lot of drive up sites though

Funny thing is I can't find my hammock

 

Hammocks are small and light and trees are a plenty. I also found some great areas around Wilson Creek and the Lost Coves while at app. I know of several drive up spots in the National Forest.

 

Man I graduated there back in'87...If I could only remember half the places we used to go. I had an old 74 FJ that I could make my own trails with...lol

 

Ive had some of the best sleep of my life in my hammock. Was also pretty toasty on those occasions, but hey, it was good sleep nonetheless lol

 

I've had a great sleep in one. But I was drunk also

 

I put the whole saga on a different thread, but if you guys get a chance to do any business with @Mobtown Offroad , do it! I got some sliders from them that didn't fit quite right and they drove 6 hours to my house to see the problem in person and set up shop at my house to trim the sliders, weld a new cap on, paint and effing installed them for me too!

Next step....popping my lift install cherry for the OMEs with 887s and Dakar leaf pack

Got new 921s in my back up lights. Phillips. Also replaced the led dome light with a clear Phillips and not a clouded one like the Sylvania I had in there. 10x more light in the dome now.

So far led wise I have, dome, map, license plate, back up and brake lights. Soon it will all be led.

 

Those reverse lights are nice..I don't want to help anyone see my tags tho!

Make sure the 921s are pressed in well, they're pretty hefty for their size and had one fall out into the lens cavity. Was fun trying to fish out.

 

I got my new dome and back up through pep boys ironically. Everything has been Vato Zone

@TacoWocko Glad we got it all worked out Paul. A long day for sure but well worth it. 710 miles round trip and 13 hours in the truck. I'm calling it a night, finally home!
