Has anyone actually switched their HU yet? I could find no good reason to do so since there are so many settings that are only available on the stock HU and it runs very well and is super quick. Only thing I would change it for is if there was one that could still change vehicle settings and read the computer along with having CarPlay and Android Auto.

I went with the OEM Audio Plus solution personally.

Pretty happy with it, but the sub enclosure does rattle a bit with bass heavy songs since it's plastic on plastic. I'll have to figure something out for that eventually. Other than that though it sounds great and gets crazy loud.

The real star of the show though is my old 5th gen iPod. Works like a charm with the HU and is easy to navigate though. Plus it's easy to modify with an SSD or larger HDD. And holds all my music in one place. No streaming for me :)

Well for me that i have the SR5 the HU is kinda limited (GPS sucks etc etc) and to get a JBL or factory real GPS cost about $500+bezel ($200 or trim it and looks bad) so maybe the way to go is aftermarket HU.. just not sure if any bezel issue.. at least i can get car play for $300

I ordered my OEM Audio plus system a week and a half ago. Hopefully it'll show up soon. Other than a little rattle from the Subwoofer, how did the install go and did you encounter any issues? How's the overall sound and clarity?

For the rattly sub, just dynamat the cubby it sits in should make it a little more snug, and if not at the very least it will stop the plastic on plastic

Or just use strips of weather stripping or Velcro to stop the plastic on plastic rubbing.
