What are some problems people have had with side steps and nerf bars? Anything they would change? Trying to create a better bar

I'm not sure if this is what your talking about, but here's my experience. I installed a set of the predator steps that Toyota sells and they started whistling ... not all the time, but every once in a while ... usually between 35 and 45 mph. It sounds a lot like the problems some people are having with their control arms, but my noise didn't start until I installed the steps. It's not loud enough to worry about it, though. I just turn the stereo up a little more.
