What is the dot about?

I have a 98 Tacoma 4x4. In the door jam when you open the drivers door I see a painted on pink dot. What is that about? I searched but maybe somebody at a body shop did it long ago. I'm just curious. See if anybody has any insight on it.

haha I was thinking. Maybe the dot is there because the frame was coated. No info at the dealer on that though. My frame is spotless. Little to no rust on it at all.

 

Your truck is a Female. From the factory, they pick the sex of the truck. Mine has a blue dot which means its a Dude. Be kind to her or she will be moody.

This. When out in shipping are during sorts for line problems that may have gotten out. They put a certain color dot. Usually in the tag area so it is hidden.
