That first sentence is key... most people who modify their vehicle cause more harm than good.

You average like 7,000 mi per month, that's crazy.

That is truly amazing mr leftcoastgroovie! At the rate I'm going I'm not sure I will live long enough to put that many miles on my car! What's so incredible is not only have you taken such good care of it to last that many miles but it also looks really nice!

And welcome, welcome, welcome to TW world. You're new but already a STAR :)!

To update everyone on this thread ... I sold the truck private sale and ended up getting 8,000. It had 592000 when I handed him the keys ... I've stayed in touch with this person and they said they are close to 625000 still no probs on tranny or engine. I have since bought a 2016 Tacoma and currently have 25000 miles on it w no probs to speak of. Just getting used to new tranny and engine but all is good ... just need another 500000 miles and all will be real good!

all is great with my 3rd Gen ... coming up on my 75000 mile service ... the only issue I'm having is with the parking sensors as they are not working properly. I fixed it by turning them off lol

I bought my 16 Tacoma ... dbl cab 4x4 in late December of 2015 ... I can't imagine anybody having more mileage but maybe ... I avg 5,000 miles per month. the dealer said I should be doing a recommended Transmission service at 80,000.

I think I can speak for a lot of people in asking you to keep us updated... I have a 2008 with 120k on the clock. Routine maintenance as well, and no problems. Mine's also a pavement princess, although not a highway princess like yours was

Replacing everything worn, broken, and rusted.
An older thread, and truck is sold, but as far as I can tell, the record for mileage in a 2nd gen taco is this, just over 625,000 miles. Unless the guy he sold it to is on TW... At any rate, quite inspiring.

That is amazing, it is just now getting broke in.

May it go another 500,000 miles for a record.
