    Hi Everyone,

I am looking to purchase a Tacoma in the next couple months here in Durham NC and was wondering if anyone can recommend a good dealer or salesperson to work with. I have not had much luck getting pricing via email from anyone in the area. Most sales people just ignore my questions and put me on their auto email lists.

    Thank you for your help.

I went to Hendrick Toyota of Apex. The buying process was pretty easy, I just walked in one night and bought my Tacoma off the lot. I worked with Ryan Rhodes. Can't say if they're responsive via email or not though.

I am looking for the off road in a long bed and it looks like you got the sport. Did you get them close to invoice?

I'll admit, I'm biased. I'm the Service Manager at the place I recommended. Shauna does a great job following up on emails.

Dorton, I will give them a try. Are there sweet deals to be had on a DCLB off road?

The trucks are still somewhat scarce depending on what options you're looking for.

Shauna is nice to work with, Dorton. Unfortunately I didn't act in time and the truck I wanted is gone with no others in sight. I guess I want the white whale.

OR DCLB are near impossible to find, I've never even seen one in person.

There are several on the lots here, just not in the color or package I want.

Toyota has never made a LB in the OR edition, they only come in sport models and below.

Go to Toyota of Apex. Good dealership, they love working with people, and very clean shop.

This is the first year they made the OR in a Long Bed. They do exist now. I will give Apex a try. Thanks for the suggestion.

Interesting I just find it on the toyota website. They will be hard to find, it might be one of those that is a special order/build. You'll be paying extra too. Kinda like I use to want a '11 sport 4x4 DCLB in the dark blue. It was a special order type of truck apparently. But I went to Toyota of Apex and found my truck, '11 OR DCSB. Good luck though.

I get all my "Toyota only" (airbag spiral cable and frame replacement) maintenance done at Hendrix in Apex. They're the only dealership I've been to that didn't dick me around!

I bought my Tacoma at Massey in Kinston from Brad McPherson. Did not have the one I wanted in stock, but was able to get one for me within two weeks. No pressure and took the time to work with me to find as close to what I wanted as possible. Gave me a great trade in on my 2011 F150 and came off the Tacoma to match what I wanted as a monthly payment. Overall very pleased with the experience as I spent no more than 3 hours from start of looking to pickup and delivery. Highly recommend.
