I already know I'm going to remove one leaf on my Dakars, How did you determine which leaf to remove? And which one is the 2nd overload spring?

Looks great BTW. Mine goes on after I get it back from the body shop. Two dear jumped me last month.

There are 2 overload springs, take out the upper one. Make sure you clamp the springs down before removing the center pin or you will be cussing yourself. And thanks I was hoping to get the front done this morning but the shop I use to assembly my coils were closed for the city Polk salad festival so I had to put factory back in until Monday's. No biggie though.

Upper overload or the 3rd leaf down from the top , depends if you just want to lose height or soften the ride and lose height

Why did you decide to take out the 2nd overload spring? Height? Ride quality? I haven't started installing mine yet, so I'm just curious in case it's something I should also consider.

Yes im also interested to kniw why. My rear leafs are funked bad. Want to get oem replacment but there 275 a piece. I seen the aftermarket ones are alot cheaper, but it seems like they all add 2"of height, which i dont want.

I didn't want the 2.75" of lift mainly.

Thanks, thats helpful. I haven't looked at them yet and I wonder if I would have thought about clamping them before removing that center pin. Watch me forget now.:fingerscrossed:

I know I want to loose height to help level the front and rear. I'm not hauling much and I only do that occasionally. So, which spring to remove? I guess I'd like to loose height and soften the ride (is the ride that hard with the Dakars?).

Lol none of this shipping makes sense... seems like they are fulfilling kits at random. Seems like I'll be lucky to get mine at the end of the month!
