Back on topic....

OPT7 LED head & fog lights came in today. I'll replace the brights later since I don't use them much. So far I'm impressed by the difference. I'll take a ride tonight to see how well they work.

They're bright for sure. I use these for my high beams.

H9 is supposed to be the brights but it looks like their H11's cover H8, H9 & H11. People are going to be hating me on my drive to work in the mornings.

I got an email from my salesman reminding me that I am almost at the 5 month mark and should bring the Tacoma in for complimentary service at 5months or 5K miles. I took that opportunity to go to service and ask for them to check the ATF and Zerks. He told me that with only 2700 miles, it was too early. I told him that there has been a lot of chatter on the internet (TW) regarding '16 Tacomas being low on ATF. I am sure service guys hate to hear that as much as physicians hate to hear about Dr. Google's recommendations. He said he never hear of that. I fibbed a little and said that my AT paused and lunged going into gear sometimes. He said that's good enough to have a look. I told him I would leave it overnight because I knew that it had to be at the right temperature. I jokingly said, "some people have said the dealer checked everything at a 30 min appointment" and how that was pretty bad of the dealer. He laughed and agreed. I hoped he got the message that I expected him to actually do it. He called the next morning and said, "Good call! It was 2 QUARTS LOW!" I told him TW wasn't wrong. He then admitted that the parts and accessories guy informed him of the internet chatter this morning.

If any of you are considering getting yours checked. Do it. If you dealer won't, they suck. Kalispell Toyota in Kalispell MT has given me nothing but excellent service over 3 vehicles.

Thanks for the info I'm here in Missoula. I've got about 900 miles on mine and i was thinking about bringing it in. but our dealer is a lithia (corporate) store was nervous they would give me the run around. It sounds like if they do i can make a trip north.

Good looking dog. I agree, that are great dogs. I've got a 3 year old German Shepherd who is my shadow. Very sweet girl and unbelievable personality.

Yeah H11 will cover all three bulb types. Well the cutoff for the low beams should be the same so there shouldn't be issues. The fogs, I don't know I use Morimoto's for those.

Changed my oil at 34XX miles just for peace of mind. Used Mobil 1 0W-20, Toyota OEM filter. Oil looked good, trace amount of metal in the cartridge assembly. Also lubed the driveline again (for peace of mind). Anybody know the thread on the skid plate bolts?

Is the same part # used as a replacement for all 3 OEM bulbs? (high/low/fog)? Can you share the part #'s you used. Thanks so much!
