I have a 99 Tacoma and at speeds of about 40 to 50 mph it starts shaking almost like the truck is jumping up and down. The steering wheel jerk very bad while it is shaking. Sometimes it doesn't shake and rides smooth.
It is not the wheels and tires because I have had 4 different sets of tires and wheels on the truck and it does it with all of them.
Started sometime after I installed the toytec coil spacers but not immediately.
If anyone has any ideas please let me know because I cannot find anything.
Steering rack bushing do need to be replaced but I'm not sure they could cause it to shake this bad

Did you get an alignment after you added the spacers? Have you replaced the lower ball joints yet? LBJ's and alignment cured a similar situation for my 2000 4Runner. Yours sounds much worse than mine was.

    Welcome to TW.

Now that you have tried 4 different sets of wheels and tires and it still shakes,,it's probably time to look at your rack bushings and/or full rack that need to be replaced and have it realigned. Since it came on after the spacers and bigger heavier wheels and tires were installed,,it probably tipped the worn rack over the ability to hold it all steady. It's as good as any place to start.

Going to replace ball joints and try to do the steering rack bushings. Anyone know the best way to tackle that?

    Tie rods are brand new.

Replaced a ujoint today and while I was underneath the truck I noticed the driver side rear lift block is crushed a bit (mushrooming if that makes sense).

Going to order aal and get rid of the blocks.

Also going to balance the tires I have now being that I just got them yesterday in a trade and did not realize until last night that they are not balanced.

I am going to get an alignment once I do bj's and aal

Replaced LBJ and inner tie rods over the weekend. Did ubj and outer tie rods a couple weeks ago.
Also removed blocks and installed aals in the rear. Aligning pin on the driver side block was sheared off and stuck in the hole in the rear end.

The truck does not shake anymore whatsoever.

Driver side ubj and out and inner tie rods I think we're the problem. LBJ and passenger side ubj were in decent shape.

Power steering pump went out last weekend so that's next on the list. thanks guys

Sometimes, you get the test first and the lesson after. Just the way it works out.

Glad you have covered the bases,,and checked back in for a follow up.
