okay so the procomp is spacers and blocks and you can find it online for $300 and the labor should be less than $500 so instead of paying 1000 you should pay about $500 for install and the kit, dealerships are overpriced

Got her back from the shop! Oh man...yeesssssss. Here we are:

-Toytec Boss 3" all around lift (springs / shocks up front, added LCA's / AAL and shocks in the back)

-TRD Black off road wheels with Wrangler duratrac LT285/70/17's

-Predator tube steps

-Tacoma bed mat

Already posted some of the smaller stuff is already done in a previous post. In the mail I have a matte black customcargrills.com grill (with "TOYOTA" in matching matte black) and AVS aeroskin bug guard (or whatever it's called).

Also have a hitch mounted d-ring to put in but need to get a locking pin first.

I'd say that's all, but I already know I want a light bar mounted on a bumper bar, and probably two LED pods for the back of the hood.

 

I might go throw my dog in the bed of my truck just to take a pic. Dogs rock. Cats are awful, spiteful creatures. Anything that craps in the house besides a person belongs in the barn.

PS ... Love the UnderCover SE (quality & service) and it comes off and reinstalls easily in a couple of minutes.

Mpg loss? Power loss?

 

Getting my truck wrapped with xpel ultimate paint protection wrap. Having the front 2 feet of the truck wrapped, a pillars, roof and cups underneath the door for now. Plan to do the sides of the truck completely here within the next month as well.

Sadly, I work construction/demo and have hobbies where people are constantly reaching into the bed of the truck from the sides instead of from the back where you should load/unload from. It'll also serve as pin stripping protection as well, from when I finally decide to take it out into the bush and go exploring.

 

Mine has been doing that more than before as well. I just renewed mine for 6 months I believe was $36.10. I wonder how much everyone else paying for Sirius???

I love my sat radio, have had it since it came out, however anywhere I ever live the radios cut out horribly. Canada is not known for having great sat reception, especially anywhere west of Calgary. I've been all over and the MTN's block it out badly, Vancouver Island loses reception a lot as well. Happens with a lot of my friends as well in different vehicles. Sucks as when I am on road trips I like listening to talk radio, some portions of my trips I am without sat radio for up to 3 hrs due to sat blockage from the mtns.

When I lived in PHX there was a lot better reception, has to do with the sat positioning and them being basically placed for the US market.

 

WTF your dealer is awesome! I'm sure if I show my dealer your service ticket indicating everything was done that they would not do for me, they would say it is made up.
Oh and to stay on topic, I recently installed rrentrop Inferno lettering all around to match my inferno Willy G Harley sticker. Will post pics soon.

This is a TACOMA forum, not 4Runner. I don't give a damn about your daughter's 4Runner. I just want to know what people are doing with their Tacomas, dogs and guns.

 

Smooth! Thought I was going to notice a big difference, but the suspension doesn't roll much and actually feels similar to lower stock ride just in regards to body roll.

I can tell the tires grip more in turns just from steering wheel feedback and resistance.

Biggest improvement I've noticed is the boss shocks do a considerably better job of dampening fast / big bumps than the bilstien stock ones for the off road. Took some really big speed bumps tied a few curbs, and when I got closer to home I played around with some really bad washboarding on a dirt side road. Never felt like they were being pushed hard at all!

 

Can't say anything about mpg loss yet, will be able to tell you after I get a full tank through it, guessing it will be 1-2 mpg based off of what people on here with similar setups have been saying. Power actually surprised me, thought it would be noticeable. The wheels are much lighter though than the stock off road wheels, and the tires are only slightly larger, so I think total difference for added weight is minimal. The suspension isn't so soft that I'm losing any acceleration form too much mass transfer.

I definitely am not planning on going higher though or adding anything bigger. Still very functional for day to day and gets me 99% of the off road function I was looking for.

 

I live in East County San Diego and I have a few dead spots. The screen freezes and no sound! We'll see how good the reception is on my way to Las Vegas!!!
