Need help with bed storage...

So idk if this is the right place to post this, but I have a 2014 Tacoma with a All Pro Bed rack and love it but I want to build a storage unit that will sit inside my bed and will be snug with the bed rack. I found a picture that made me starting thinking of a way to build a storage unit that I can hold my 2 5gal Jerry cans and a small tool bag/ or box as well as 2 5gal water jugs. Just need some opinions or solutions that people have done for their storage in the ride. The pictures I found were on Expititionportal.com and was just wonder what some of the pros and cons that this kind of storage unit would have. They didn't really have anything posted about the pros and cons.
