Saw a 2004 xtra cab being appraised at the Oxnard Carmax around 3pm today.I was wondering if it was someone on here as I am interested in buying if you are looking to sell.
This Tacoma had icon suspension, arb bumper, warn m8000 winch, bed rack, rear tube bumper, lined lower panels, sliders and a lot more.
If you are on here or know the owner please pm me.

    Thanks.

I did. Also checked TTORA, auto trader, these classifieds, basic google search and no luck.
Throwing it out to the locals as someone has to know him.

I wonder if Carmax is going to sell it themselves, I've never seen any first gens for sale on their website

    Too few to list.
Carmax only sells cars that are up to 10 years old on their lot. The 10+ years cars they buy goes to a wholesaler that is partnered with them already and typically the quote they give you is what the wholesaler is buying it for minus like a fee. They had 1st gens a few years back.

Above is correct as well as this car would go to wholesale as it is too modified. I am sure sliders are welded on which would be a structural issue with them.

Looks good but I think price is a little high. $15K will sell it quick.

Funny you say that, because that's as high as I was planning to go. I got an email from the guy and it has been meticulously maintained with all records. He is moving overseas thus the sale.

I bet Carmax offered him something ridiculous like $7K. Try to talk him into $15K. Worth a shot.

No. I didn't. Rather build mine. I did almost trade it in on a Ram 1500 ecodiesel for more towing capacity.
I think we will stick to a smaller travel trailer so we can keep the Taco. Tundra brake upgrade too.
