I apologize in advance but since Photobucket decided to charge $400 a year for third party sharing i have now been forced to switch over to IMGUR images... hopefully it works lol

Update 9/5/17: Sorry to everyone who follows my build thread for the 7 month hiatus. Deployment is now done and over with, family time and trip complete and kids are back in school woohoo! Now that i had a little bit of free time i started with the first mod waiting for months when @erok81 hooked me up with his ARB Sarafi Snorkel (thanks again man!) this thing was absolutely amazing when i took it out of the box, while in my opinion it is on the large size the functionality would prove to be the biggest selling point for me. After installing the snorkel i instantly felt better throttle response and less sluggish acceleration which in all honesty could have been the placebo effect but after a week i can honestly say I'm pretty sure it actually made a difference. As far as the install went it was pretty straight forward... i will say the edge trimming on the large cutout was a must IMO, while the snorkel is made of thick ABS plastic and is about as durable as can be the idea of any vibrations or movement made me feel uneasy with metal rubbing plastic... metal is always going to win. So to anyone installing this themselves or taking it to a shop i highly suggest you place some trim on the cut out area. Painting the freshly cut and drilled areas is kind of a no brainer but thought i would throw it in there... the silicone around the holes while probably overkill, i like the fact that it gave me a little more peace of mind knowing the water will stay away from the freshly cut holes. lastly is the A pillar, @erok81 who sold me the snorkel was not a fan of drilling into his A pillar and either was i... so he made a carbon copy of the ARB pillar bracket minus the holes and used some aero grade 3M double sided tape. i've used this stuff on my cars and trucks in the past and it is more than strong enough to hold the snorkel along with all of the bolts in the fender lol other than that i think thats it! if you have any questions or input regarding the install please feel free to ask in here or shoot me a PM! on to the good stuff!

These little bastards are one of the worst designs i have ever seen in my life... Some of them came out fairly easy while others i left in due to fear of breaking the tabs... they have two small indents/tabs that need to be pushed in on two sides while the other two are smooth... take your time and use a small flat head and work them out...

The goods in all its glory!
    https://imgur.com/2dTCBk4

Stock airbox removed and a much needed dusting off lol
    https://imgur.com/depLNPZ

Used the ARB template and marked the holes on painters tape to help prevent chipping paint and deburring process
    https://imgur.com/TXvrqRM

the feeling of cutting a big hole in a brand new truck lol
    https://imgur.com/KVi57SE

painted all of the holes after deburring and ensuring the test fit was to my liking
    https://imgur.com/yQUBhOM

highly recommended like stated above of using some type of rubber edge trim to protect the snorkel inlet from rubbing a hole or damaging the inlet which is made of plastic... not necessary since ARB doesnt state it to be a requirement but a nice little touch i thought and wanted to share for future installers.
    https://imgur.com/PkX2kLP

silicone around each hole to help prevent water from leaking in... again not necessary but i thought since im here might as well do it right lol
    https://imgur.com/CZ06ZKQ

now the good stuff, finally installed! took about 2 hours taking my time and making sure everything was good to go along with 3-4 test fitments since i didnt want to go through the process of removing the splash guard again.. never again i hope lol

    Update: 8/10/2020

Installed my Bay Area Metal Fabrication High Clearance Rear Bumper

    Additional Info:
OEM Bumper heights were 19.5" to hitch/lowest point, 25" outter portion and 23" to bottom of rear fender flare.
BAMF Bumper heights were 25" to hitch/lowest point, 27" outter portion and 26.5" to bottom of where rear fender flare used to be

Basically 5" gained from hitch area and 2-3" gained everywhere else on the bumper.

I measured using the top of the bed 2x4 method and seemed eot be the most accurate way to measure. Cut off wheel and taking your time will give you the cleanest cuts and allows you more control than a small dremmel or sawzaw. Fitment was spot on and the mount holes give you enough wiggle room to adjust and get everything perfectly level. i'll add more info and posisbly make a new thread for more updates from other owners but i wanted to get this information out there for everyone else who is getting ready to do theirs and needed that extra boost of confidence to measure and cut etc.

Update 11/29/16: Happy Holidays everyone! finally finished up the @CBI Offroad Fab T3 front and rear bumpers, all i can say is wow! the craftsmanship, welds and design far surpassed my expectations. They were worth the wait and then some, so if any of you are on the fence about CBI and their bumpers just let the pictures do the talking. awaiting a photoshoot but with an upcoming deployment it may be delayed 6-7 months lol

Update 9/27/16: Got the new campershell the other day! Wired up some @mattgecko lights to match my pre existing set I had.

Update 9/24/16: @JLee aka Jerry at BAMF graciously chose me to test fit their new version 2 economy grill this weekend. I have to say I was impressed with the grill and the simple yet aggressive design. All you future owners will be happy to know that once these are cut they are almost instantly ready for powder coat which results in a much faster built grill for owners. be on the look out for their initial sale with FREE shiping!

Update 9/10/16: Teamed up with Timbren Industries and installed/write up for their full front and rear bump stop U bolt flip kit. I am very happy with this set up as i felt hydraulic bump stops were overkill for my application.

My little helper for the day...

big size difference compared to the oem front bump stops

U bolt flip kit complete, just need to install the bumpstop to finish up!

finished product! came out great and love the extra clearance from the U bolt flip. For a fraction of the cost you can't go wrong with this set up! they had amazing customer service and even better quality products. Sponsor or not i would have ended up going this route regardless. Thank you again Timbren Industries!

Update 7/14/16: Got my photo shoot pictures back today and couldn't be happier with them! Big shout out to my good friend Josh Rubio IG: @Jredrex Amazing photographer and friend... if you're in NorCal and want some amazing pictures hit him up!

UPDATED 7/9/16: Got a photoshoot done today by a good friend who works in the automotive photography scene and wanted to shoot the Taco! We didn't have the best choices up here in mid Northern California so we worked with what we had... Ended up going to Prairie City OHV Park where there's a good 4x4 area of the park to mess around and not have to worry about dirt bikes and Razors zipping around us. All in all these are just some of the crappy cellphone pics i snapped while he was taking the actual good ones lol i will update with the final pictures once they are out of editing.

UPDATED 6/5/16: Installed the bushwackers today and i gotta say i love the look! i now need the spidertrax spacers to get off back order and that will complete the look...

As some may know/not know, i purchased @TacoMEDIC 2016 Tacoma TRD Sport DCSB 4x4. He had already built the truck to the same exact specs i would have done myself so i figured this was a once in a lifetime deal to get the truck i wanted with a big head start on the modifications... The day started with me driving with a buddy at 0000 hrs from Travis AFB to Apple Valley Ca (SoCal), 7 hours later we arrived at 0700... after weeks of coordinating a good pick up date i finally met with TacoMEDIC! Very friendly and welcoming (much appreciated) he walked around the vehicle pointing out all the great stuff he did to the truck and after talking a little bit more we went for a quick test drive. The kings made this truck really nice and almost Cadillac like floating down the streets. Back to his house we went i was hooked! We did all the paperwork and transfers, shook hands and i was on my way... but not back home up north like some of you may be thinking lol thats right i had already lined up a nice little deal with CaliRaised LED. The guys offered me a deal for helping them do a photo/video shoot on their full line up of LED bars, pods and Rago Fabrication brackets. i spent about 3 hours with them talking back and forth, talking about new ideas and just having an amazing first day with my new to me truck! As she sits today i am very happy and cannot believe the attention it gets. i had a fully done up Raptor and didn't get as many thumbs up as i have within the first few weeks of owning the Taco. Enough chit chat, on to the good stuff... listing of mods and pictures below. Super happy to see you continued my build. I was really hoping that whoever bought it didn't just let the hard work I put into it go to waste. Looking real good, man! Keep it up!

Next up will be whether or not to get the bushwacker fender flares... i really wanted to see some in person on the 3rd Gen locally but have yet to find anyone let alone any pictures other than the tan one on their site and a few random pictures here an there... also looking to get an exhaust but unfortunately the pickins are slim for us as of right now... so that may wait until more options are available...

Holy bat shit awesome truck. I was thinking about the bumper led. I've got one on my wife's 4runner, and my f350. They pay for them selves the 1st time you need it.

I was also wondering how the windshield bar would fit. There is a local guy selling a 52 inch because it wouldn't fit. Said Ithat was 2 wide for his truck?

I have a question about your steps tubes. Are they protective (of the rocker panels) like sliders found elsewhere? I've been heading down the slider route but wife wants more of a step for the kids. I like the look of yours (similar but way better looking than thenPredator step tubes from Toyota) but was wondering if they would help with rocks, stumps, trees underneath.

Dude, your truck is the sickest mod I've seen here. It's like someone said, "What is everything I can do to a Taco?" And then they did it. Love the lights, mother she'll, all the work.
