New Tires: Nokian Vatiiva 265/70/16

After almost 33,000 on the stock Dunlops, it was time for new tires. They still had a few miles left in them, but figured I might as well enjoy new tires for the rest of winter. Went with Nokian Vatiiva, P265/70/16. $589 out the door. They're about .5 inch taller and an 1" or so wider than the 245/75/16 Dunlops. Only have a few miles on them so far, but I've noticed they ride a little stiffer (which is good), and are a little louder - they hum at about 55mph.

 

I have a few hundred miles on the tires now. They are a definite improvement over the Dunlops in the snow/ice, but not as good as the BFG AT's I had on a previous truck. The price was much more attractive.

I am now missing a center cap though. Must be the tire shop did a half ass job putting that one back on. Not too impressive when they're $40-$50 a shot. The other three might just end up being removed for now.
