A little more information may be needed. Your title says Iphone, but the screen says Ipod. Which one are you trying to connect?
Also, is this the first time or have you had a connection and all of a sudden it went to this.

Really though, I haven't seen that message before and I use multiple iPods and iPhones of varying models.

 

Well I finally got it to work. Sorry for the vagueness. I forget y'all don't know me and my truck as well as I do.

It was my first tethered connection. I've had the truck a week but have only done Bluetooth. I decided to plug it in and see if the sound quality improved and I kept getting that message. I found my manual (in the glove box, who knew) and found the page shown above. It finally worked. I don't know if it's a software difference from when the manual was written or what, but my menu items list was slightly different than that shown in the manual.

Alls well that ends well, right?!?!

Glad its working. I downloaded the manual from Toyotas website that way I have it on my phone anytime I need.
