Ok this is bugging me... My clock works sometimes, it will be on for a little bit then turn off then back on... Some days it wont even work... Anyone else have this annoying issue?? I know its pretty sad a clock bugs me but even my daughter will ask where did the clock go.. Now its her big thing to watch the clock and tell me every time when it goes out, its kinda cute though..

Well known issue with 1st gen's. The contacts wear out over time. Most flick it with there finger and it will go back on for a while until they are in the position you are in and just cave and either fix it themselves, have it rebuilt, order a new clock (expensive) or rid the clock altogether and replace with some sort of mod...rocker switch location, volt meter, etc. Here are some thread links for more info....

Mine went out years ago. Tapping it worked for a while. Then it used to come on every once in a while on its own. Not so much any more. It did come on a few weeks ago, and my wife saw it . She got all excited, but I told her to just wait. Within a few minutes, gone.

    mine does that too
I tried cleaning the plug contactswhen I had the dash apart but it didnt help
    It seems to be internal
its a pileof crap, I want my money back Toyoda !
(P.S. its a good thing when everything else works good enough that I can worry about a $2 clock malfunctioning)
If you find a little clock that fits over the junker ,let me know, I will glue that sucker on over that annoying POC
they used to have those battery operated stick on clocks but havent seen one for a while

You can have them rebuilt with a ebay clock company...see my other post^^^ for 14$. It's the internal contacts that wear out.
