Thanks for the friendly welcome! Question. I wanted to add 2 led lamps on the back of my truck. Should i tap or can i tap into the wires that's from the hitch? Or should i use a toggle switch? Ppl tells me to use a toggle switch, so i can turn it on and off when i want to. What do you guys think?

I originally T-tapped the hitch wiring but it was causing flashing issues when towing.

Personal, I would skip the toggle as its a lot of unnecessary wiring to run.

So, don't add the led lights? I was thinking of using t-tap to the reverse wire so when i pop it in reverse. The lights will turn on. But others tells me to use a toggle switch. So i can turn it on if someone is tailgating me.lol..

Its all up to you as to what your goal is. Flashing drivers may promote road rage / blind them.

For me wiring the pods to the reverse wires behind the taillights works great (small amount of wiring), they automatically come on. Just my 02 :)

Oh no. I don't want to promote road rage. I was just torn between having it on only when on reverse. I wanted to be able to turn it on if i needed lights when i go camping.

I can walk you though how to wire whatever way you would like, if you need the help. ;)

When I need the lights on at night to hook up a trailer, I through the truck in reverse (with engine off) and set the parking brake.
